Brief Statement of our Christian Faith

WE BELIEVE

The Bible is God’s true and holy Word, without error in all it teaches.

In the Trinity (three Persons in one God). The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit share the same eternal divine nature and are equal in power and glory.

That God, the Creator, is in perfect control of all things.

That humanity’s sin has led to separation and alienation from God.

That Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God, by virtue of his righteous life, death, and resurrection is the only means of reconciliation and salvation for his people.

That the Holy Spirit alone is able to give new life in Christ.

That human beings’ proper response to the gospel message is to turn from sin and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

That the fruit of salvation is a life of grateful obedience to the Word of God, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Only by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit can we live as good disciples of our Savior.

In making a loving, faithful commitment to Christ’s Church as members, while drawing grace and strength from Christ in the two sacraments he instituted: Baptism and the Lord’s Table.

Our hope is sure: we anticipate the personal, glorious return of Christ to confer upon us the fullness of our salvation and bless us with eternal life in heaven.

Simply put, our Good News is Jesus Christ, crucified and risen for us
